Automated Collections Specialist (part-time)

Under general direction a in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations, designs BCP-wide automated programs and serves as the organizations automated collections subject matter expert. Responsible for overseeing automated activities at BCP. Duties include but are not limited to aiding in developing and revising automated / 2RBC SOPs and forms, training and ensuring competency and working with vendors on programs to meet BCP goals and objectives, analyzing automated reports and providing recommendations to the Collections Department. Performs other duties as assigned.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Under direction and in accordance with Federal, State, AABB, cGMPs, SOPPs, established policies, procedures, regulations and quality control standards performs all required tests on each unit of whole blood and component to ensure units of blood and components are safe for transfusion and product manufacture.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist (per diem)

In accordance with Federal, State, AABB and BCP regulations, policies, procedures, standards and GMPs, performs antibody detection, antibody identification and compatibility testing.  Communicates with physicians and hospital personnel to explain results and provide appropriate advice.  Teaches theoretical and practical aspects of Reference Laboratory work. Perform other duties as assigned.

Under direction and in accordance with Federal, State, AABB and BCP regulations, medical standards, policies, procedures SOPPs and cGMPs, conducts donor interviews, medical histories, venipuncture preparation, venipunctures, collections assistance procedures, prepares for, drives and transports personnel, blood, materials and equipment from one site to another as necessary and required;  sets-up and breaks down drives at collection sites, and performs other tasks as assigned.

Laboratory Technician

Under direction and in accordance with Federal, State, AABB and Blood Center policies, procedures, regulations, quality control standards, cGMPs, and SOPPs,  performs a variety of tasks in a laboratory setting including the preparation of components and products from whole blood, monitoring equipment, record keeping and other duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse (per diem)

Under direction and in accordance with Federal, State, AABB,  BCP regulations and established administrative and clinical policies, procedures and regulations, conducts and reviews donor histories, performs venipuncture preparatory procedures, performs routine and apheresis venipuncture procedures, accepts and defers donors, treats reactions and performs other tasks as assigned.
