Patient Care Programs

Blood Centers of the Pacific is a full-service blood center, with six distinct programs to meet the needs of Northern California hospitals and patients.

  • Community Blood Donation Program
    Enables volunteers to donate whole blood for patients in the community.
  • Autologous Blood Donation Program
    Enables individuals to donate blood for their own upcoming surgical needs.
  • Designated Blood Donation Program
    Enables friends and relatives to donate blood for a specific patient.
  • Apheresis Blood Donation Program
    Enables donors to give specific blood components, such as platelets, plasma or white cells.
  • Accredited Reference Laboratory
    Locates rare blood for patients with unusual antibodies through a 24-hour consultation service with hospitals and a national blood registry.
  • Bone Marrow Program
    Registers potential donors into the National Marrow Donor Program, maintains marrow donor records and coordinates marrow donations.
