Blood Buddy Program
BCP has launched a new and exciting program called "Blood Buddy!" If you like the movies AND enjoy saving lives, simply encourage a friend or family member to donate blood. When he or she comes in to donate blood, we’ll send you two free movie tickets. Buddy must be a new BCP blood donor. Click here for more information.

Thanks for bringing a buddy to save lives!

Peninsula Center
BCP’s Peninsula Center has a brand-spankin’ new home! In April 2005, the Peninsula Center vacated its home of 40 years in Burlingame, moving to its temporary location in San Mateo. We’re excited to report that we now have a new permanent center in Millbrae. There’s no place like home!

The Peninsula Canter celebrated its Valentine’s Day Grand Opening on Wednesday, February 14th, from 11am to 1pm. Millbrae Mayor Marc Hershman and Marc Nagales, Field Representative from the Office of Assemblymember Gene Mullins attended the event. Donors were given chocolates and roses that day.

The new Peninsula Center is located at 111 Rollins Road in Millbrae. For more information, click here.

February is National Heart Month
According to the American Heart Association (AHA), coronary heart disease is America’s number one killer. February is National Heart Month, a good reminder to us all that we should know the warning signs, reduce risk factors and know how to respond quickly and properly if warning signs occur.

Heart disease and stroke kill one in every 3.6 men, and one in 2.4 women lose their lives to heart disease and stroke. They are the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of women. It is important for women to know that heart disease and stroke are deadly. To educate women to lead longer and healthier lives, and to fund research around women and heart disease and stroke, the AHA is celebrating the month with a series of Go Red for Women events. For more information, please visit www.americanheart.org.
