BCP to Serve as Host Blood Center for AABB Meeting Blood Centers of the Pacific will serve as the "host blood center" for the 52nd Annual Meeting of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB). Each year, this event brings the people involved in blood banking together to exchange information, keep abreast of new developments in the field and strengthen the bonds that unite members of the blood banking and transfusion medicine community throughout the world. The meeting will be held from November 6th through 10th at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco. More than 6,000 people are expected at the event. Attendees will include physicians, blood donor recruiters, medical technologists, and blood bank administrators. As the "host blood center", BCP will be offering tours of the Irwin Center to attendees, many of whom are from outside of the U.S. and are interested in seeing first-hand how American blood centers operate.
