San Francisco 49ers and BCP Team Up to Help Save Lives

For the third year in a row, the San Francisco 49ers and Blood Centers of the Pacific are teaming up to increase much-needed blood donations for Northern California hospitals and their patients.

In past years, players Jerry Rice and Kevin Gogan have championed the cause of blood donations and this year, Defensive End, Charles Haley, has volunteered his time. Blood donation has a personal importance to Charles, as his daughter, Brianna, had leukemia. During “49er Days” in January, the 49ers will have scoreboard announcements during games about the need for blood donations and will send out joint press releases with BCP about the need for blood, especially critical in January.

While they might not be Super Bowl champions this year, the San Francisco 49ers are still champions of blood donations and heroes to Bay area patients.
