BCP’s 60th Anniversary Celebration

More than 150 guests came to the Irwin Center in October for a reception marking BCP’s 60th birthday!

Long-time donors, transfusion staff from our hospitals, board members, relatives of BCP’s founding fathers, and others, were among the many guests. BCP’s PR Director, Lisa Bloch, MC’d the event and Drs. Nora Hirschler, BCP’s CEO and Michael Busch, BCP’s Vice President of Research and Scientific Services spoke briefly.

San Francisco Supervisor, Mark Leno, presented a certificate to Dr. Hirschler on behalf of the city. Thirty-one gallon donor, Larry Tullius, and heart transplant recipient, Terry Meyer, also spoke. All in all, the event was a smashing success!
