San Francisco, CA - Over the weekend, a major water main break caused extensive damage in one of Blood Centers of the Pacific (BCP) Northern California Blood Centers. BCP is reporting that the ability to collect blood will be significantly diminished during the next two weeks while the damage is repaired - affecting 150 whole blood and 75 apheresis donations needed by area hospitals. BCP is urging all eligible donors to reach out during this challenging period to schedule a donation at their San Francisco, Santa Rosa, Napa, Fairfield, or Peninsula centers.
Please phone 888-393-4483 and BCP thanks donors in advance for their dedication and support of the patients who will require blood transfusions during the next few weeks.
